Blue Bell Steel Fabricators recommends purchasing pipes in Metric Tons rather than meters or pieces for several important reasons. When buying pipes by meter or piece, it becomes difficult to:
Verify Pipe Thickness: It’s challenging to check the thickness of each pipe individually when purchased by meter.
Count Bundles and Pipes: Accurately counting the number of pipes in each bundle is difficult, especially since pipes are typically bundled together, making it hard to ensure consistency.
Measure Pipe Lengths: The pipes are often supplied in bundles, which can resemble broomsticks, and measuring the exact length of each pipe becomes impractical. However, in our case, we ensure strict tolerance of 0.1 meters on length, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Given these challenges, our company prefers to supply pipes by Metric Tons to ensure uniformity, transparency, and accuracy in the delivery process. However, if a customer insists on purchasing by meter, we request that the Weight per meter, as specified in the relevant IS (Indian Standards) or BS (British Standards), be clearly stated in the purchase order. This helps to prevent any discrepancies and ensures that the materials supplied meet the exact specifications.
